Greetings All, As I understand, there are two club versions of this track, the one that we probably all have a copy of, and then the one that I've only heard a short clip of which features on the White Room Promo clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNwrs-5Tuus I think I remember reading that someone had reprogrammed the short clip to make a longer version, but does a proper/official longer version exist anywhere, like a super rare only 3 pressed kind of thing? For me getting hold of the official version of this track would be akin to uncovering the holy grail. Ross
I always preferred the promo clip version as well.... -----Original Message----- From: klf-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:klf-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Ross Jarvis Sent: 20 September 2010 17:49 To: klf Subject: [KLF] Madrugada Eterna - Mix Used On Promo Vid Greetings All, As I understand, there are two club versions of this track, the one that we probably all have a copy of, and then the one that I've only heard a short clip of which features on the White Room Promo clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNwrs-5Tuus I think I remember reading that someone had reprogrammed the short clip to make a longer version, but does a proper/official longer version exist anywhere, like a super rare only 3 pressed kind of thing? Hi Ross, This version is usually known as the "303 Edit", as I'm sure you know. I've never heard of it being extended or being available in anything other than the "ripped off the promo clip - audio only" mix which first appeared on (I think) one of the Dutton bootlegs back around 1994/95. You're right, though - it would great to have a proper, clean version of the track. Since Jimmy seems to have kept all his old DATs (thank you, Lord!) then the 303 version is probably kicking around. Whether it'll see the light of day, you never know - odd things seem to be cropping up (via PVC and Acme) with or without Jimmy's permission. When I first got a CD burner, I made up a set of Pure Trance era CDr "singles" featuring all the available mixes - and I made one up of Madrugada Eterna too, which featured the 303 edit along with the "Italian Mix" full length and edit, the version from the KSTJ CD single and the (very slightly) different mix which turned up on "Chill Out". The fact that ME was never given a full single release has always been one of the more dissapointing aspects of the KLF story, I think ... Just knowing that Jimmy kept all the DATs is very encouraging news. It'd be nice to think that one day it might see the light of day in it's entirety. Ross On Tue, Sep 21, 2010 at 10:41 AM, John Milne <paranormalhandy@gmail.com> wrote:

Is the 23 year moratorium just for K Foundation related stuff or for the entire KLF/JAMMS universe. Maybe one day we'll see a Ninja Tune style box set<http://bleep.com/index.php?page=release_details&releaseid=25746> . ...maybe no though Andy On 21 September 2010 11:41, Ross Jarvis <jarvmeister@gmail.com> wrote:

I think it's only for the K Foundation hired-car-off-a-cliff stuff, from what I recall. I get the feeling, also, that Jimmy's quite protective of the music (witness the deletion and reissue of "Orbsessions 1" without 'Mommy Don't') whereas Bill just can't be arsed any more. I don't think there'll ever be a box set - since by the time the moratorium runs out, or Bill & Jimmy come to a positive decision, the nostaglia boom for the late 80s/early 90s will have gone. Like it or not, and despite the klf.de guy's sterling efforst, they're slowly being forgotten. On Tue, Sep 21, 2010 at 12:42 PM, Andy Lee <andy@adlee.co.uk> wrote:
