I know this has obviously come up before but I missed it, does anyone know what the proper font is?
Everyone seems to agree that it's "Compacta", but I think this changed over the course of the JAMs/KLF history as, in some of the original JAMs stuff, the brackets are rounded, whereas the Compacta brackets are 'squarer' Does this make sense? -----Original Message----- From: klf-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:klf-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of mrroverrover Sent: 12 June 2003 22:29 To: klf@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [KLF] "THE" font? MessageIt would have been a Mac font because Slim Smith at Designland did all the layouts. He used to boast he could knock out a sleeve in an hour. I think compacta is the "nearest" though. Speaking of which, weren't you going to have some more designs for us to look at? :) I remember something about a copy of the white long-sleeved one that was worn in one of the Stadium House Trilogy videos by that girlie with the long red hair :) Chris
MessageAnd what excellent T-shirts they are! Got one from Andrew a couple of months ago. Go on treat yourselves... Spread the word. http://www.euperia.com/compacta It's the one I used on the KLF T-shirts... Andrew
I've had to pull the T-shirts site down for a while as the printers I use are closed whilst re-organising themselves. Shirts will be back around september and I will have more stock & designs, including the black shirts.
