Cheers, Ross. Is that the Demonoid torrent? I listen to BBC Radio Scotland in the mornings, and there was NO advertising for the documentary (or the series) at all. Another black mark against the idiots at Pacific Quay! :-( I might also have sourced a higher bitrate copy, but that might take a few days to appear ... Thanks so much. Notice the total absence of IGUN; surprising because IMHO, it was sooooooo much ahead of its time and a most important piece. Cheers, Xav Le lundi 19 septembre 2011 à 12:28, John Milne a écrit :

Just listened to the interview, thanks for alerting us about it John. Interesting how Axel Rose was supposed to originally perform the song "America: What Time Is Love?"...imagine what kind of a different animal that song would of been if he sang it! I remember the NME/Melody Maker both having AWTIL? as their number one "rock single" during their 1992 end-of-year polls, far above anything by Nirvana or Pearl Jam or the Chill Peppers or Sugar or whoever was flavour of the month then ... You used to get it played in a lot of rock clubs. I didn't know about the Axel Rose thing either. That would have been pretty special. Possibly less special, but still interesting, is that Bill & Jimmy wanted to get newly-left-Take-That Robbie involved in their "Help" compilation track in 1995. According to "45", Robbie was at home with his mum, nursing his Glasto/Oasis wounds, when Bill phoned up and got her on the phone. "Who are you?" she asked. "We're the KLF." "Never heard of you." "We used to be very big a few years ago ..." - Click. And she puts the phone down. "Robbie Joins the JAMs" fails to materialise!
I could definitely imagine Axl's voice shouting "America!" and "What Time Is Love?" instead of Glenn's. Not to imply that the latter wasn't any good, though. ..::// Thomas Touzimsky "Size: XL. A fun listen. Really ties into this revival we've been having on the list. :) Would love to see the Classic Albums show taken on stuff like The White Room. jr ----------------------------------------- Jeremiah "Spassvogel" Rickert 6'7" 350 lbs of Dr. Pepper and Pez Candy. -----------------------------------------
