Re: [KLF] Some advice and help (OT, but needed)
So, how should I do it? I'm tempted to store them as lossless files on an Ipod and also as mp3s on DVDroms and also, possible, on a back-up external harddrive. What do people think? Any suggestions?
Lossless flac files stored on a DVD, and use QuickPar to create recovery files if one gets damaged. Put the mp3s on the iPod. Did you get the discs I sent you? -paul
Anyone who can tell me where to find this? Never heard it and I'm wondering what it sounds like. Maarten The KLF: What Time Is Love? (goa megamix) [1990] bootleg remix single 12": 1990 UK (KLF Communications; KLF 4Z) What Time Is Love? (goa megamix) [bootleg, one sided, may be Orb-related]
And again, like the semi-legendary IGUN remix, and the Pure Trance singles, this blurs the line between KLF and Orb ... hmmm ... I know there is a 'Live in Goa' remix/cover of WTIL, credited to Illuminatus? With 'Live in New York' on the flip? I have MP3s but they are indeed stored on an external drive which hasn't been connected for a while =) I might be slightly out with the track titles/artist but they are nice enough, though no 'original' KLF sounds as i remember. Suprised I didn't put them on those discs when I sent you a bunch of stuff a while back, John tbc. Hi, Simon, I wasn't me who was originally asking about it, but I thought of the Illuminatus cover version too. I have the 12" clear vinyl. Hi, Paul. Yes, I did. Sorry I didn't e-mail sooner, but things are busy here. Precisely the same reason why this e-mail is so short. Sorry, again! If you've got the space, keep 'em as WAVs as well, then copy them to multiple hard-disks! ;) I'll take that 'Power Remix' you beat me too off your hands if you like... :D -----Original Message----- From: klf-bounces+chris=k23productions.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:klf-bounces+chris=k23productions.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of TheMgnt@aol.com Sent: 17 October 2005 19:45 To: klf@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [KLF] Some advice and help (OT, but needed)

MessageI like the WAV/mp3 combination the best, and I think that's what I'm going to go with. Initially, mp3s on an Ipod, WAV files on a DVD rom (I reckon you could get about 6 or 7 albums of "WAV" on one) and then everything saved up again on a disconnected external drive as WAVs. This will be long project, though, with jewel case CDs going first, then vinyl, then tapes (along with books, DVDs and various other acts of decluttering). I can imagine it taking about a year all told. Once I move on to vinyl, I'll keep people informed, though I'm keeping rare and interesting aretfacts: Waiting, JAMSCD4 etc etc. John ----- Original Message ----- From: Chris Peel To: 'All bound for Mu-Mu Land.' Hi John, What software are you planning to use to record from vinyl? I've just had all my records sent over and am thinking along similar lines. Cheers, Chris --- John Milne <john@highlandland.fsnet.co.uk> wrote:
