I like the WAV/mp3 combination the best, and I think that's what I'm going
to go with. Initially, mp3s on an Ipod, WAV files on a DVD rom (I reckon
you could get about 6 or 7 albums of "WAV" on one) and then everything saved up
again on a disconnected external drive as WAVs.
This will be long project, though, with jewel case CDs going first, then
vinyl, then tapes (along with books, DVDs and various other acts of
decluttering). I can imagine it taking about a year all told. Once I
move on to vinyl, I'll keep people informed, though I'm keeping rare and
interesting aretfacts: Waiting, JAMSCD4 etc etc.

If you've got the space, keep 'em as WAVs
as well, then copy them to multiple hard-disks! ;)
I'll take that 'Power Remix' you beat me
too off your hands if you like... :D

Lossless flac files stored on a DVD, and use QuickPar to create
recovery files if one gets damaged. Put the mp3s on the iPod.
Did you get the discs I sent you?
