Dont consider A1 as first pressing and A2 as second pressings. Record gets cut to laquer, then metalwork made, first 6 (or 10) copies made then checked. If there is a skip or there is too much bass or some distortion then the record is recut. The cutting engineer would scribe in 'A2' on the re-cut. The '2' in A2 is so that the plates are clearly marked. ----- Original Message ----- From: Len Goody To: All bound for Mu-Mu Land. I have 3 copies of jams lp6, 1 promo with pyramid stamp and 2 regular issues, the matrix reads Jams Lp6 A2/B2 on all of them, usually first pressings would read A1/B1. Does anyone own an lp6 with the A1/B1 matrix or does anyone have the answer? If there is an A1/B1 matrix does it differ? Go on everyone get your LP6' out and have a look! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ KLF mailing list KLF@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/klf Report list abuse to list-abuse at studio-nibble.com
