Like most others here, I have no idea what Jimmy feels about the KLF legacy now. But according to acquaintances, Bill was at one point desperate to be seen as a writer rather than a "pop prankster". This, coupled with his fairly precarious mental state in 1992 (he says so himself), is maybe partly the reason why he looks back on KLF with such jaundice. Also - isn't it just what people do when they give birth to a cult? John Cleese hates doing the "Ministry of Silly Walks" to this day, and William Shatner is forever telling Trekkies and Trekkers to "get a life". But like Thomas said, when you create something with so many depths, levels and aspects (when 99% of media is one-dimensional) you can't be surprised if people are endlessly fascinated. This is why "The Simpsons" has lasted thirteen years! On a personal level, I consider Bill Drummond one of Scotland's finest contemporary writers, and admire him as much for that as I do for the KLF's music (life-affirming though it will always be). I appreciate this view may not be held by many on the list, though! John Not Scots, just Scott-ish

(OT) Galaxy Quest

"Galaxy Quest"? A great movie! Better be careful though, or I'll start reminiscing about "Morons from Outer Space" ;-) BTW, who did the "Star-Trekking" single? I know it came out a couple of years before "Doctorin' the Tardis", and when I was about 13 I used to think they were both done by the same people - but of course it couldn't have been the KLF. So who WAS behind "The Firm", then? The 12" of "Star-Trekking" gives no clue as to who the producers are. Was it the guys from "Spitting Image", or Stock, Aitken and Waterman - or maybe someone with a connection to Drummond or Cauty? Does anyone know? Hi Everybody Im Martin and have been a KLF fan for a about 8months. I got into them because of the stunts first and the music second. I joined the list because I always seem to need KLF info because of the amount of stuff they did. ASnyway I hope you will all find me interesting. 2003: What The Fuck Is Going On?

Hey everybody! Want to wish you all a Happy New Year and nothing but the best this 2003. I haven't been on the list for a while, just recently signed up. So this question I think probably has been asked, so I apologize if I am beating a dead horse. Is it possible to obtain a 1/20 000th of "A Smell of Sulphur in the Wind?" No. It is produced by Ramon Zenker (Hardfloor, Interactive). I just found it at amazon. Just searched Amazon myself (using Hardfloor, Interative, Ramon Zenker, Ancients of Mu Mu, Acrid Abeyance, "Church of the KLF" etc. etc.), but found nothing. Can someone put up a link, please?
