Due to a fatal crash on my comp, I had to reinstall my OS. I will not be reinstalling my ftp until I get to Boston and then I will reopen it as soon as I get a Cable modem again. Sorry for all of this trouble.. I will be back on fast connect in about 2.5 months. Thankx, RMStringer

just for a laugh, someone should get the tracks that have her samples in, rip the samples, and have one song with no wanda, and one with just wanda... on a serious not, thinking about it, i dont really mind if she goes around singing klf songs all day, as long as the other people on those records are making money from it too, i mean if you split it right, if the more you do in a song means you get more money for it, she will only be getting a few pence in the pound for it, but it dont work that way does it... no good luke to her, if she can make money doing it, then thats ok with me, if i were B or J i'd consider setting up a crew to tour the songs with, but use the real stars, the original rappers/singers and have some dudes who can play the music too, with a few support bands, that would be cool....

The lyrics, I mean, rather than the music. In style it's similar to "The Night Train" - and the title is a reference to (possibly) the Fall or Pink Floyd (with the parts 1 & 2). "LT2T" is based around a classical piece (I think we're all agreed) - at least, the trilling bit known as "Rolling Stock" is. The melody, however, seems original - and is probably the finest thing they ever did, I think. The title, of course, is The Monkees. "3 AM Eternal" seems to stand as their most original work, and as you say Thomas, was their biggest hit. I have read a few articles that claim it's very "808 State-esque", but I've never heard it myself. I sometimes wonder how much influence Graham Lee had in the early recordings, when it was meant to be a flamenco affair (and "Madrugarda Eterna" is surely his track with Jimmy and Bill's beats and samples beneath, in different versions). Some of the album tracks on "The White Room" (and the soundtrack) seem to be totally original though (despite "KSTJ"'s resemblance to "Left To My Own Devices" by the Pet Shop Boys - a debt Bill Drummond acknowledged himself) and probably the "purest" original creation of all would be the instrumental "Mr Hotty Loves You", written by Cauty one his own, for the b-side to Disco 2000's "Uptight". OK, so no booo-ing. But. When they stole the ABBA-tune, they never said that "We are ABBA" or aything...if they were copyrighters, they would live the lifestyle of the rich and shameless. Cauty is still stealing tunes (maybe he's not as good at it as he used to be, I'd never touch a Celine Dion track). The problem WAS and still is that wanda "mummy" dee toures the world and saying she's the KLF, she wrote the successful tracks, etc. B&J never went on a world tour saying they are the artists they sampled (Hey hey we are not the monkees). That's the difference...millions of K-fans said it before that wanda dee did NOTHING, literally nothing apart from "being sampled" in two KLF hits. Maybe Drummond wrote that note, maybe not. I think that he spent too much time on the alienation trip. He surely was the mind of the KLF and Jimmy the heart, I think. Anyway Chill Out will be the greatest album of all time now and forever and there are no wanda samples on it. LT2T and WTIL would sound exactly the same without wanda. Yeah I totally agree with you on the points below. I just love Mr Cauty and the stuff he has done over the years and that statement on that site seemed to me to go against all this man stands for, dunno about Drummond, when I was younger I thought he was a geek looked like he should have been in OMD cauty his misses cresida and Mr Thorpe I thought were well cool.
