Does anyone on the list know when/where they filmed the video for this? Presumably even the car number plates (e.g. A146PWL) were specially picked as well [PWL being Pete Waterman Ltd]?

I never did understand what the verdict was either! from what I gathered, things like "E-train" were never pressed, and any that exist today are only bootlegs with the labels that were meant for the unreleased, unpressed originals what I specifically meant to get across was the fact that the phrase "and then I hear" (from the "wichita lineman" / "chill out" version) sounds identical to the phrase in "go to sleep" (from "the white room" soundtrack), but doesn't mach the sound of the reverb/effects/ambience that the spoken lyrics that the rest of the "go to sleep" have also, I understood that, as far as release dates go, "go to sleep" and "last train" were originally scheduled for the same day to my ears, "go to sleep" SOUNDS later than "wichita", or, for example, the "1989 pure trance" version of "last train" agree? disagree?

I was lucky enough to be lent this book buy a girlfriend whom I'd lent the only copy I've ever seen of the tekno compilation that had "the geep" on it - then we broke up, I kept the book and she kept "the geep" (damn!) I always assumed that "will pop eat itself?" had its origins as a college/uni dissertation and was then expanded into a book it's sad to learn of his demise, as I did think the book was insightful and relevant and always wondered if he had ever followed up on the subjects of sampling, &c.

OK, let's sort it out: "Evil Groupie": Courtney Love was the Teardrops' groupie. Drummond was the band's manager. Many claim that Courtney drove Kurt to death. Drummond may have seen all this. (After all, he's wiser than three, King Solomon too. See also "Foretold" by Death In June.) "Drug Abuse": "Yeah I've lusted and lied and taken a line..." (Candyman on "Who Killed The JAMs) "Suicidal Tendecies": Drummond said he wanted to chop off his hands on the Brits. Are these enough? After all, they were writing about this, but it was rather "about" than "being" -though they lived the rocker life, of course. But not in that meaning as Kurt did. IMHO Nirvana is an overrated thing. They may have made MTV-compatible punk, they may broke Seattle into the media, but once Kurt got the fame he once fighted for, all he wanted was to throw it away. I feel sorry for him, but also blaiming him for turning hapless 14-year-olds into brainwashed Nirvana-T-shirt buying masses. Nirvana wasn't a great band. At least the Sex Pistols and Dead Kennedys could write SONGS and LYRICS and be angry at the same time. The problem with Nirvana is that their songs aren't angry. It's just spleen without a cause, it's a no-accord bore. When I first heard "Nevermind", I said to myself: "What's the big noise about it? It sounds OK, but it's not THAT good to be on Mf***TV, 24/7!" Of course I felt sorry when I first heard that Kurt killed himself, but just becuse his death was so meaningless-just like is ife _AS A ROCKSTAR_. People with better brains have said this a zillion times before me. Courtney is just as disgusting as she ever was. But, of course, she made her career out of this shit. Missing KLF documentary?

Hi all, In the "K Foundation" documentary, there is the section where Jimmy and Bill are in Trancentral, listening to the record (as mentioned in a previous post), and it cuts to "LTTT" live on TOTP. Now, what I want to know is, that segment of the film, from the car pulling up outside Trancentral (and the caption says "1989") to the cut to "LTTT" must have come from ANOTHER documentary - something made and screened in 1989. Does anyone know what it is? John PS - Completely O/T. The Sabres of Paradise's "Smokebelch 2" takes its melody from a 1988 acid house track called "Nu Groove (No.33) The True Story of House Music" by L B. Bad (a.k.a. Lamont Booker). I'm not sure if any of you knew but having assumed for years that 'Jeremy.J.Beadle', author of the excellent 'Will Pop Eat Itself?, 1993, Faber was probably a Drummond or Home alias I've just found out he was not only real but sadly died of Aids in 1995. Commemorated by the Jeremy J Beadle prize for outstanding music writing. Nobody ever took The JAMs more seriously.
