Emma Burnham appears to be both a vocalist (in something called Shriekback, which sounds fantastic!) and a producer of soundtracks: http://www.artistdirect.com/music/artist/card/0,,410076,00.html http://www.emdac.demon.co.uk/phil/shrk/shrk_d.html Cressida is Jimmy's wife. Lindz E. Love turns up nothing on Google apart from KLF references. However, I suspect she was probably one of the Trancentral squat/Benio mob. As I've discussed with some list members off-list before, most of the "Pure Trance" and early "Stadium House" reworkings seem to have been written purely for the enjoyment of Bill, Jimmy and few select and lucky friends. "Madrugada Eterna", for example, comes from a guitar part recorded at a party in the summer of 1989 - and I'm sure I read somewhere that the basis of "What Time is Love (Live at Trancentral)" was a similar party recording, from about six months later. It's highly like Lindz E. Love was the name of one of their mates. I mean, it scarcely sounds like it was the name she was born with, does it? "Emma Burnham", on the other hand, is someone I'd gladly have attached to my bank manager. John

Hi there ! Does someone know where the "Oohs" and "Whooos" on WTIL and LTTT really come from? The WTIL cd inlay says: Cressida / Lindz.E.Love - "Ooohs" q - Additional Engineering And for LTTT: Emma Burnham - "Woo Woo" Are these sounds sampled from somewhere? Which synths have been used to generate them? Thanx kubi -- Escape-Meta-Alt-Control-Shift ?

No one seemed to like this idea the last time, but I'll try again, and if I get no response, I'll let the matter drop: Every year, in Dumfriesshire, there is a "Wicker Man" festival, based around the movie - but including so much more, such as bands, stalls, all-night dancing, etc. etc. There's probably even a stall to get your Jobseeker's Allowance from. Now, why don't we do something similar for the KLF? It doesn't matter a damn if Jimmy and Bill don't turn up (although it would be nice if they would!) So what about something on the Isle of Jura (or any of the Western Isles, if we can't get that one), showing movies, with DJs, bands, stuff about the Illuminati, Jimmy's art work, maybe even get some of the Liverpool Punk cognoscenti playing in front of a huge Wicker Idol full of unsold copies of "Fuck the Millenium", then maybe a rally for replica Ford Timelords, and above all else - several hundred fans, all in robes with horns in our foreheads, dancing all through the night. What about holding it on the 10th anniversary of the burning of the money - 23rd August 2004? I know it's a Monday, but we can have the preceding weekend to enjoy in the lead-up. 5 questions: then I go on holiday ...

Hi! I managed to finally get hold of a decent copy of the "Dutton" video tape yesterday (I've been living with a fuzzy copy for 9 years now), and I have a few related questions which, hopefully, someone can answer: (1) Is the car in the "Love is War" video WGU18G? I know that according to the Beatmasters "Who's in the House" video, Jimmy owned at least two "Ford Timelords" at one point. I just wondered if this 1986 vintage was the same car as appears on the front of KLF3, KLF5X, in "The White Room", etc. etc. - or is it yet another one to add to his collection? (2) In the Reportage footage, Bill and Jimmy appear wearing exactly the same costumes (and moustaches) as they do in the last scene in "The White Room". Is there any significance to this, other than they probably came straight from filming the studio scenes? (3) In the second Media Show appearance, Bill and Jimmy are busy building the Sample City set, and talking about "The White Room" movie. Since the Lost Continent "LTTT" ends the movie, and it was big hit (with the Sample City video) in May 1991 - was there any moves around that time to release TWR fully and commercially, rather than just the promo video that appeared? (4) Is Youth the guy in the "KSTJ" video, holding up his hands and flicking v-signs and dancing in "Trancentral"? He also appears at the beginning of TWR, beside Alex Paterson, doing the same thing. (5) The Snub TV interview appears to feature a video for "All You Need is Love" (it features an man dancing in Arabic wear, a woman swimming in a bikini, and a male hand rubbing down a female torso) - and the "Shag Times" sleeve notes also mention a hastily made video for "Downtown" (in which they just stuck a video camera out of Ford Timelord as they were driving to the studio to hand in the tape) which was shown on "The Chart Show". Has anyone either seen the "All You Need is Love" video all the way through, or the "Downtown" video at all? John

Hi, Has anyone ever noticed that the 1993 Kruder and Dorfmeister EP "G-Stoned" features a track called "Deep Shit Pt. 1 & Pt. 2"? Sounds NOTHING like the JAMMS version, of course - but I just wondered if anyone knew if there was any relation between Kruder and Dorfmeister, and Drummond and Cauty, (even if they were just fans)? The music is certainly a lot more subtle and chilled than "The Stadium Techno Experience", too! John PS - Incidentally, if anyone has "G-Stoned", the cover is a direct parody of the 1968 Simon and Garfunkel LP "Bookends".

Incidentally, I was offered a copy of the WTIL "Acid Mix" 12" in 1993, for £350, from a record dealer in Dundee. She was also going to swap it for my JAMSCD4, but I refused. I'm now beginning to think that I should have done, since "The WTIL Story" CD can be picked up on e-bay for less than that, when it appears! John PS - I dont know about multi-coloured vinyl KLFTOTP5s, but I have seen a 3AM1 in a white sleeve with black lettering, which even though it's a bootleg is - I think - rather unusual.
