2K at the movies

I can now confirm that "The Falconer" ( http://us.imdb.com/Details?0205052) DEFINITELY features 2K. "Fuck the Millenium" appears about three-quarters of the way through, underneath an energetic rant by Stewart Home. There was another film from around the same time (1998-9) that featured the "One World Orchestra", but unfortunately I've drawn a blank there. It was something like "Prisoners of ..." or "Geomancies of Fire" or similar. The film featured Alan Moore, Genesis P-Orridge and members of the B92 Radio Station in Belgrade, and from what my old flatmate remembers (he saw the movie, I didn't) the version of "The Magnificent" featured was longer, possibly supplemented with pots and pans and rattling bones in a Tom Waits style! Does anyone have any idea what this film may be? I found the following link, which may jog a few memories, but unfortunately did not jog mine (although it does feature a K Foundation article): http://www.uncarved.demon.co.uk/jetexts/index.html Oh, and BTW, for a great historical account of the B92 Radio Station in Belgrade that includes a partial transcript of Bill and Jimmy's interview with DJ Fleka in Belgrade during the "Watch the K Foundation Burn a Million Quid" tour, I recommend Matthew Collin's second book, "This is Serbia Calling". I'm a secondary school teacher. And in my 12-year-olds class just before Christmas, I asked them all what their favourite song/band was. About 60% of the whole class said Scooter! Personally, I found this rather useful, and the following day brought in a CDR of KLF singles and showed them some of the musical similarities. This lead on to a discussion of how pop stars can write books (they were amazed by this!) and for once I seemed rather "cool" to the class! So Scooter DO occasionally have their uses! On a slight different topic, has anyone on the list ever brought up the topic of the band "V/VM"? I don't claim to be an expert, but they seem to be quite indebted to the KLF. Hi there, Just for the case you didn't hear it yet... Scooter, our special friend has another track out: "Weekend". I didn't hear the whole thing, but the first words I heard were "we are not the monkeys..." and the whole shit ends with "over and out". The rest of the song is typical scooter-shit, again. kubi -- I saw the light at the end of the tunnel... ...and it was 24bit true color with 8bit alpha channel

KLF-related TV shows on in UK tonight

For UK-based KLF night owls, there are a couple of repeated TV shows on tonight that might be of interest. At 1.50 AM, Channel 4 are repeating "4Scott: an All-Star Tribute Concert". Scott Piering was, of course, the KLF's publicist, who died in January 2000. The concert does not feature the KLF (obviously) but does feature many other bands and artists he was involved in. The accompanying live CD, "4Scott", DOES however feature studio tracks from both the KLF and the Orb (as I notice was mentioned in August's thread) although The KLF track is just the standard "Stand by Jams" 12" mix with some applause at the beginning. The sleeve notes of the CD also feature Scott wearing a white-on-black "pyramid" t-shirt. Secondly, also on Channel 4, but at 3.20 AM, is "London Orbital", which is described in the "Radio Times" as "A journey based on the book "London Orbital: a Walk Round the M25" by Iain Sinclair". I've not read the book, or seen the movie before, but I'm sure it might be interested!
