The historical beginnings of the "New Utah Lake". A formal, documented vision for Utah Lake began in 2009, with the formation of the Utah Lake Commission, and the resulting "Utah Lake Master Plan". Our presentation will cover a brief history of water rights for Utah Lake, how transbasin water from the Central Utah Project and Provo River effects Utah Lake, and other items of interest". Or maybe I could "trade up" from my 6 HP black beast on Boaty? Fisheries Supply, near Lake Union, has reasonable prices and lots of cool stuff. Attended about 3 days of classes. Lots of information on sailing up the B.C. coast to Alaska. Impressive stories about tides and currents. Timing is everything. The most frequently heard book / guide titles for the inside passage were: "Ports and Passes" "Waggoner Cruising Guide" "Local Knowledge, a Skippers Reference" Other cool stuff learned at the Seattle Boat Show: Dent Island, luxury in the wilderness. Before our modern day computers, a mechanical "tide predicting machine" constructed of pulleys and wheels, got the job done. Ripple Rock removed. My favorite topic. Which anchor is best?
