earlier Roger Zelazny (The Lord of Light) and the earlier Gene Wolf (the Torturer series) - both are brilliant wordsmiths - lyrical and captivating. -----Original Message----- From: B. I'm in between books, having finished Wicked Bronze Ambitions, and I was wondering what other authors a group of people who share my love for Glen Cook might recommend. I've recently discovered Guy Gavriel Kay, who has quickly catapulted into my top 5 along with Cook. Looking for any and all suggestions. Mainstream, fringe, quirky, etc. Sci Fi, fantasy, mainstream fiction, etc.
Gotta second some of the others' recommendations. Butcher, Weber, Abercrombie, Rothfuss, and Erickson are all favorites of mine, but I'd also add L. E. Modesitt and Lois M. Bujold to that list (especially Modesitt's recent Imager series and Bujold's Chalion books) -- --==From the mailbox of Alan Wheeler==-- I finally made my stupid computer faster; I dropped it out of the window, and it went really fast. _______________________________________________ glencook-fans mailing list glencook-fans@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/glencook-fans
