Tim, Despite the silence, I have started once again to make progress towards getting the next patch ready. I was actually fairly close before I start working in Illinois again. It only took about two weeks to get an internet connection, then another week or two to figure out how to send email. It won't take nearly so long next time, since I've managed to find out how to make Evolution use sendmail. Very handy, sendmail. Hopefully, this list won't know the difference. Using mandy for a CVS repository is problematic occassionally because the ISP I use in Illinois has some server and/or DNS issues. However, it is working and I have managed to export a usable source tree from it. It's a bit of a pain to have to enter my password all the time, but it's now memorized so it isn't all that bad. It seems to me, though, that it might be getting sent across as clear text when I have to run a command from a terminal on my machine. This happens when I want to make a diff file. Jonathan

Glad things are going well for you. On my end we're focussing on returning the Shuttle to flight ... I'll see if I can make any sense of CVS. Tim

That's gotta be tense!
I'll see if I can make any sense of CVS.
For now, only the fractint module is up to date. There won't be a diff file for this patch because of the restructuring. I will provide a source tree, however. Jonathan

Do we have a viable CVS repository now? I've poked at making my device driver hack compiling on Win32 under VS.NET -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline"-- code samples, sample chapter, FAQ: <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/> Pilgrimage: Utah's annual demoparty <http://pilgrimage.scene.org>

The experimental code is in the CVS repository, but I haven't restructured it yet. At this point, only Tim and myself have access to it. And, I'm not sure if Tim has been able to checkout a module yet. Viable isn't quite the word for it, although it does work nicely for me. Jonathan

What do I need to be able to checkout from it? I use a pageant SSH key agent so I could mail you my public key if that's sufficient. -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline"-- code samples, sample chapter, FAQ: <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/> Pilgrimage: Utah's annual demoparty <http://pilgrimage.scene.org>
