Hi Mike,
From what I remember the Shepherd's Bush Empire (they didn't do the Astoria) webcast was quite good. They've used little it any of it. The bulk of the visuals are from what seem like handhelds at Coachella and some other, uncredited US dates.
LOTS of digital zoom effects are included which might have been supposed to look arty but just look terribly budget. They've only used one complete song from the Fountain Studios session (Le Flute De Pan if memory serves) and it's like entering a different world. But all to briefly. I reckon the mish mash of terrible visuals (with the odd brilliant bit) is a clue to why the DVD hasn't got the ZTT logo anywhere on it... call me the odd one out, but i loved the sound and music but thought 80% of the visuals on this were terrible. wobbly camcorder stuff from the US gigs and shepherd's bush - which make up almost all of the film - should have been filed away under 'extras'.
I don't think I've seen anyone mention it.. Is part of the DVD footage the same as what was shown in that webcast that was available for a short time in early 2000? That was from the London Astoria show, I believe. I thought it was nicely done. Is the DVD footage even comparable to that?
