Terribly true, and truly terrible. We will turn your country into a parking lot (in a display of might makes right), but we just lack the attention span to help turn your country into a nation full of all the things we're allegedly fighting to preserve and even distribute, like medicine, working currency, police, garbage collection, drivable roads, water filtration, a decent phone system. Or did I miss the opening of the Kuwait Galleria a few yrs back?

Nicely put, Skip. And congrats on the review by David Toop in the recent issue of the Wire of your new CD. ------------------------------------- His face is turned towards the past. Where we preceive a chain of events, he sees one single catastrophe which keeps piling wreckage upon wreckage and hurls it in front of his feet. The angel would like to stay, awaken the dead, and make whole what has been smashed. But a storm is blowing from Paradise; it has got caught in his wings with such violence that the angel can no longer close them. This storm irresistibly propels him into the future to which his back is turned, while the pile of debris before him grows skyward. This storm is what we call progress. --Walter Benjamin on the Angel of History _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
