From: "Steve Smith" <ssmith36@sprynet.com> Subject: RE: Borbetomagus (was Re: Merzbow recommendations?)
I ought to mention, by the way, that there was a pretty professional looking multi-camera crew shooting through the Borbs' and Merzbow's sets. No idea why, but I'm sure someone somewhere knows.
Steve, you are right; someone does know. That same crew was at the Haino & Fushitsusha shows at Tonic on November 15 & 16, 2002. Working on separate television documentaries of Haino & Merzbow. More info at the Haino site, http://www.planetc.com/users/keffer/haino/index.html . Borbetomagus is the only show I have ever walked out of for the simple reason it was simply too painful (Minneapolis, circa 92-93).

On a related note, Young God Records (www.younggodrecords.com) has a new cdr website-only (a la incus) release of the M. Gira solo show in Lisbon from earlier this year titled "Living '02" which is fantastic. David K. NP: Johnny Cash, "Wichita Lineman", 'The Man Comes Around' (American Recordings)
