I liked it a lot,it was a sly prank but also more interestingly moody and atmospheric than most "real" blues albums nowadays, and there were cool songs like "Small Car," which sounded like it had a lot of input from Michael Blake (very circular, hypnotic pull to the composition), and "Bring Me Rocks." My least favorite was probably the opening "I'm a Doggy," which wasn't bad but more of a send-up, the lyrics are pretty goofy. Parry
I agree, I really like this album, I find myself going back to it frequently. It has a lizards feel to it in the arrangments, its really too bad that he didnt play around with that material. The players on that record are like a whos who of the downtown scene. I cant remember the tune but there is a hilareous casio keyboard solo.
