Re: old country & western Players and some new ones thrown in!
oh, forgot early Les Paul! Via Con Dios is amazing. He also was a session player. He still plays in NYC. I saw him about a year ago and it was actually worth the $30 ticket. mia

Hi! I have just started working with some trad country rockabilly guys and here is what I have been listening to Buck Owens Buckaroos-classic! Bill Mure's Supersonic Guitars in Hi Fi Billy Byrd Jimmy Caps Eddie Eddings Thumbs Carliene ARthur "guitar boogie" Smith
Here are some current groups that are country, but shun the new Nashville sound- Demolition String Band-Boo is one of the best G-tar players in the EAst Coast Buddy Woodward and the Nitro Express Chelsea Mountain Boys
Demolition String band actually tours in your neck of the woods. They are hard playin', drinkin'(if I downed that much tequelia I would fall down!), drivien roots country
Also you might like Southern Culture on the Skids. WFMU in east orange NJ has a bunch of radio shows that are broadcast on the internet that might fill your needs. they also play Zorn.......so you know it is a cool station!
