Baraka paid for the session which was released on his own label. Guess no other company wanted to release his poetic ravings.

I couldn't agree more. It's ALWAYS a drag when an artist has to release their own work and avoid having any of the money going to the owners of a record company. Maybe some day John Zorn will be big enough that he won't have to pay for his own recording sessions and release his music on his own label so he won't have to deal with the extra money he might make doing it the way he does now. Does anyone know if this is the same LeRoy Jones (notice spelling) listed as "Reader" on Sonny Murray's *Sonny's Time Now*?

Any artist with half a brain can now do a release that makes money at 50 copies sold. I meant "on the same planet as where the record label guys live"
