That's the one I meant!!!!! Not "Shoe-String Symphonettes" as I posted earlier! "SSS" is much much better than "I Killed Your God"!!! !!!!, Tom! ______________________________________________________________________ Phil Spector: "I've been listening to a lot of Andrew Lloyd Webber lately, and enjoying it. Makes more sense :-). YO! I KILLED YOUR DOG made me seriously wonder about Marc Ribot's tastes (as well as Tzadik filtering process). I can't believe that Ribot pushed to get such material on a record... Patrice (still not impressed by Ribot as a composer, but who loves the guitar player).

Hmm, Ribot has come up quite a bit in this discussion. Has prompted me to come up with a few comments/questions... Firstly, Patrice, have you checked out the Rootless Cosmopolitans albums, which are, I think, pretty amazing from both composer and guitarist point of view...? Someone mentioned 'Muy Divertido' as a real disappointment, and while I agree that it is a step down from the first one, it is certainly fun and some of the tracks are fantastic, for example the Ribot-penned 'Las Lomas De New Jersey', or 'No Puedo Frenar'... Finally I was just curious whether the criticism of 'I Killed Your God' was just for that album, or is it for Shrek in general? I heard the 'Shrek' album and found it kind of hard to get into, and wondered whether people find this one also annoying? Thanks, Julian.
