Hi!
I have to agree with Alastair, I didn't think Knead was all that exciting.
Perhaps. But most be one hell of a live show, seeing those three on stage at the same time!
Any word on the Zorn Documentary DVD?
Just to put together two threads. Yoshida from Ruins just released two DVDs: V.A.: "Let's Dance with Irregular Rhythms" (featuring RUINS/Pochakaite Marko/Aburadako/Cicala Mvta) Koenji Hyakkei: "Live"
Top 5 favorite Ruins albums...
Anything since and including "Burning Stone" (not including various side projects like "Symphonica") Bye. _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
i'll go against everyone here and say that i found this record intriguing and fun to listen to. i'm not *that* familiar with either haino or the ruins... i just have a few things by each. but i think all their playing is very together (in its own weird way), dynamic in terms of speed and energy, and very well recorded. i think it's a rad meeting of some musicians that were totally meant to play together. they're all really good at remaining themselves while complimenting the other players. it is definitely a challenging listen, so i understand that people are saying it's a little tedious and boring (that's how i'm translating it), but i find all of it engaging. i would recommend checking it out, personally, if you're a fan of haino or the ruins... since i think it blends both their styles very well. it grabbed me, at least. peace, kim __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
