heya just listening to Ruins - "Hyderomastgroningem". I'd like to bring up something... it's really quite amazing the language that they make up. especially when you look at the actual 'lyrics' in the book - it's pretty damn amazing. :) Andrew np: Ruins - Hyderomastgroningem
Agreed! It's fascinating. I think Yoshida's lyrics are pretty much similar to the language Magma uses. --dk On Thu, 11 Mar 2004, Andrew Mortensen wrote:

Yes. Beautiful, wonderful nature. Hear it sing to us: *snap* Yes. natURE.
also, anyone know anything about the change of line-up?? why did they change bassists? I think I kinda like the current guy better than the older guy.... but hard to say... Definitely hard to say, as far as I know at least four different bass players (if not more, that's just what I can see on my albums)have filled the bass chair. And while I'm sure they've all had input and played their asses off, they are mostly playing Yoshida's stuff - which, considering how difficult it is, means they must all be absolute monsters!

pretty amazing that Yoshida has been able to find all these superb replacements with the same level of skill and sensitivity, to keep the spirit of the Ruins alive. I wonder what the earlier bassists are upto these days. I believe Riuchi Masuda appeared on the first Koenji Hyakeii CD playing guitar and I think also on the first Tairkiuotoku vs. Sammoakaonna (where Yoshida played bass instead of drums). Those projects I believe were after Masuda's departure from the Ruins. The fact that he kept playing with Yoshida in other projects should entail that it was an amiable split. By the way, has anybody seen the Koenji Hyakkeii DVD? That band is a mindblowing Zeuhl monster (where he was also able to replace who would seem irreplaceable: female vocalist and keyboardist Aki).
