Hi,
Marc Ribot: Shoe String Symphonettes (A lot of Ribot purists think this is one of his strongest, most diverse, most adventurous releases but I find myself listening to all of his other albums far more freqently.)
Count me among those who think this is Ribot's major achievement to date! For me it is really coherent although it may seem a bit disperse at first. However, expect the Ribot composer, not the guitar-hero.
Elvis Costello: For The Stars (Due to Anne Sophie von Otter's presence this is not strictly an "Elvis Costello release," but he produced it, sang back-ups, wrote half the songs and put himself on the cover, so it's eligible. Listened to it a number of times to give it a fair shake, but just couldn't warm to it.)
I wonder if anybody actually manage to warm to this. One of the worst Costellos I've heard.
Bill Frisell -- Sweetest Punch (too easy listening)
I couldn't believe they destroyed "Painted from Memory" in such a way when I heard it. Elevator music with nothing in it. _______________________________________________________________ Copa del Mundo de la FIFA 2002 El único lugar de Internet con vÃdeos de los 64 partidos. ¡Apúntante ya! en http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/fc/es/
