hi people on the weekend, I saw the movie "La Planète sauvage" (The Fantastic Planet) 1973. http://imdb.com/title/tt0070544/ this movie is awesome & also had a great soundtrack or creepy sci-fi sounds! very minimal. the music was done by Alain Goraguer. I urge people to see it if they already haven't. Andrew np: Erik Satie - "Gymnopédies"

This movie was directed by René Laloux, who unfortunately just passed away last week :( It is a great movie which visuals owe a lot to Roland Topor (I'm not sure whether he is credited in the movie, as he quit the production before the end) and is based on a book by Stephen Wul ("Ohms en série" being the French title). Lalous directed at least two other animated movies, "Les Maîtres du Temps" ("Masters of Time"?) and "Gandahar." I haven't seen the latter, but I can recommend the former, which was done in collaboration with Moebius (aka Jean Giraud). Julien
