In answer to the original question, I very rarely let someone's ideology get in my way to enjoying his/her art. Separation between human and artist, etc. Case in point: Burzum and some more contemporary NS black metal acts. Burzum's earlier material was actually very beautiful, quite hypnotic. Such a shame that such great music was created by a worthless fuck. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Información de Estados Unidos y América Latina, en Yahoo! I have a shelf full of books, from the time in university where I was made understand that it's the work that matters, not the guy. I heartfuly agree with that, making me able to read books without thinking that the writer did all these bad deeds he describes in his fiction. But still, the fact that French resistance kept Celine alive for being a cool writer, while at almost the same time Anton von Webern was shot by accident, make me realise the irony of hard held beliefs and theories. About music from bad guys: in common practice, I know so much great and extreme music by beautiful people, that I afford myself to support the nice guys more. There's too much cool stuff to enjoy anyway. In analogy: for me there's no need to hang a painting by Adolf Hitler on the wall , even if he really was great. Not as long as I know painters like Lucebert and Picasso (can't afford the last one though ;-( I have even come to the point where I don't buy cd's from local fucks from the store in town. I can wait, or buy something else, somewhere else, or do without> there's always radio and concerts. Regards, Remco Takken
I personally think there's other things to worry about than Keiji Haino's "racism" ... Like his hair for instance ... WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT FRINGE ALL ABOUT? Ha Ha. I mean, you'd think someone would say something ... __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
