Does Ikue Mori in fact always sound the same?

i was never a fan of ikue when she was just doing drum machine, but as has been said she switched to laptop years ago. all of her sound sources, however, are still her drum machines. she doesn't always sound the same any more than cecil taylor or derek bailey do. she certainly has her own language and is easy to spot, but if you have the opportunity to hear her play often and with many different people (as i'm fortunate enough to), you learn her language. i really think she's one of the best improvisors in new york. kg np: wfmu _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected?
