NEWS FROM ZORN & TZADIK: Starting in February of 2004, Tzadik will release 15 single cds, one per month, from the last September's 50th birthday "Month of John Zorn" celebration. The first one will be the first ever single cd from the amazing Masada String Trio, who played one of their finest sets ever that magical month! All the Monday night duos (w/ Fred Frith, Eye, Milford Graves, Leo Smith & Susie Ibarra) and Zorn's rare solo sax set will also be released. Some of those exciting & as yet unrecorded game pieces will also come out as well as sets from the original quartet Masada, Bar Kokhba Chamber Masada and the Electric Masada. And yes, that mind-blowing [string-breakin' Ribot!] live version of 'The Gift' will come out too!
