I had the pleasure of seeing Ellery Eskelin with Andrea Parkins and Jim Black the other night. I'm sure those living in Europe or New York have seen this band a lot, but it's a rare and special event for Indianapolis, a city with such a dismal music scene. It was obvious that the band was on the tail end of their tour, but they played with intensity--despite the small crowd on a Wednesday night. Artists are not appreciated enough for bringing their music to places it otherwise would not be heard--I commend this band for doing just that. The music was incredible. Thank you for playing Indy; you renewed my (and my friend's) faith in live music here. Zach
