I think Briggan Krauss would have to be considered... Though I hate to throw jabs, I've never been a big fan of the squeel that Zorn tends to drop in his solos - hurts my ears.. Now Roscoe Mitchell, he's 100% the real deal. Has anyone mentioned how great the Art Ensemble w/Fred Anderson show was in Seattle a few weeks back? He and Fred Anderson were unbelievable together.
