Quebec visits the ween days of yore for at least the first half of the album.  It's really good... white pepper was marginal..

They just did an internet only session on weenradio.. they performed all 5 stallions in a row.  What? you say.... it's true...

Andrew Weiss is back on the board for this one and it really shows..... much like guava,

fav' songs... Zolof, the argus, Tried and true.

the song "so many people ...." is classic noise ween tweek the keyboard and drummachine type browness.

ok, good luck with that.. It's worth a look at least.

The fundamental problem with Ween's last few albums is that they've made the
unfortunate transition from making really fucked up, lo-fi, wacky songs and
records ("the pod", "pure guava", "god ween satan") to just being a "normal"
band with "slightly quirky" touches and unconventional lyrics.
Ween were always a novelty act, but a damned good one - but now they're trying
to be normal. Whereas they'd rip a "let me lick your pussy" or "baby bitch"
with no thought before, their recent records only get as daring as "bananas
and blow", and spend about half their time doing really "normal" songs with
normal themes and normal lyrics. Add to that a sort of AOR studio production
sheen complete with proficient session musicians, and they've thrown out
everything that made us like them to begin with.
