I couldn't agree more. It's ALWAYS a drag when an artist has to release their own work and avoid having any of the money going to the owners of a record company. Maybe some day John Zorn will be big enough that he won't have to pay for his own recording sessions and release his music on his own label so he won't have to deal with the extra money he might make doing it the way he does now.
