I've recently read wonderful things about the violin player/singer Iva Bittová. I've only had the chance to listen to her along with Fred Frith in his "Step Across the Border". Any recommendations? What should I expect? AS far as I know, her music is pretty hermetic but that could be even more interesting, who knows?
Her 1998 album "Iva Bittova", released in the US on Nonesuch, is a good start.
