Borbetomagus was (were?) Borbetomagus, and decades after their primal eruptions, that's probably more than enough. They were so fucking overwhelmingly volcanic seismic eruptive etc. that for the first 10 minutes of Merzbow's set, my friends and I thought it was easy listening by comparison. We took out our gol-darned earplugs, by criminy. Of course, THAT didn't last long. I ought to mention, by the way, that there was a pretty professional looking multi-camera crew shooting through the Borbs' and Merzbow's sets. No idea why, but I'm sure someone somewhere knows.
