I think he makes strong choices and performs well, and I still think so, even though I know he's a Republican. I'm not going to stop watching his movies, and I'm not going to boycott future releases. However, if he decided to star in a drama whose moral was poor people are lazy and need more welfare reform, or that gay people are destroying society, or an action flick whose point was the need for Star Wars, I wouldn't go see it. Feel free to replace any of the above plots with one's that you may know actually reflect Willis' Republican beliefs. If you start to limit your intake to only artists who are not racist/sexist/anti-gay/fascist/ableist, you are left with pretty slim pickings (but you can still listen to MY favorite band, Rage Against The Machine! Unless of course, your a Democrat). There's a anecdote from Hitler tells in Mein Kampf about going around the city, peering into the eyes of a German shopkeeper, and seeing a Jew. In fact, he says, the whole country was degenerating by turning into Jews. This is an interesting spin on the melting pot theory, decidedly more pernicious than the assimilationist American version, in which the Jews, or the Japanese, turn. So, if a Jewish or a Japanese person, where to say they went around their neighborhood or country, and everyone looked white, it's a different thing altogether from Hitler's paranoid obsessive delusions. First, music had been banned in his country, second, there is a high probability it WOULD be political, and third, he would then be left with less subject matter than Christian pop groups. However, he's no neo-Nazi. For one thing, he organized the death of far more people, to my knowledge, than a single neo-Nazi ever did. Which points out that being a huge racist, and killing people, are two TOTALLY DIFFERENT things.
