Townsend

'Boris the Spider' is my all-time favorite Who song! Also John's 'Heaven and Hell' is great too. A lot of Townsend's songs (for me) are not that interesting - and too grand for nothing. In that context, John's contributions are like a breath of fresh air among the stale odor of making too large of a statement. But then again, the early Who singles are good work. But in that context, 'Boris' sounds ...fantastic. Also the bass solo on 'My Generation,'...fantastic! I have read that The Who will continue on their tour this summer - that must be weird.
