since we're on a novelty kick, any nominations for the slowest piece of music ever recorded? that would be, a piece that has a steady pulse but incredibly few beats per minute (as would be counted by a metronome). john cage has written a composition (ASLAP) to be played as slow as possible ... if i remember correctly it will be "performed" in a church in halberstadt, germany for the next 639 years... the first rest takes 14 monthes or so ;-)
