Hello, ...as far as value for your noisy Coltrane dollar goes, I'd say pick up the 2CD "The Major Works of John Coltrane". It includes both takes of "Ascension", "Om" (which I feel is Coltrane at his noisiest), "Kulu Se Mama", and "Selflessness". One of the added plusses here is that "Om" is now one track, where as before on its single disc reissue it was split in two like it was on the vinyl. Also interesting is that the two takes of "Ascension don't follow each other; one version opens each disc. I remain...
