Burkhard Stangl (guitar) and Christof Kurzmann (electronics) recorded the fabulously atmospheric and meditative 'Schnee' on Erstwhile. It's still probably my favorite thing on the label. You can probably hear sound samples on the Erstwhile website if you're uncertain. John Butcher is one of the two or three most technically advanced saxophone players currently working - his range of sounds, tones and multiphonic techniques has to be experienced live. (You can get a bit of his playing in a different setting on the Erstwhile site as well). I don't know any of John Edwards's work, but I'd say this is a safe bet. I'd highly recommend both shows - let us know what you think of them.
