It's true that the sound quality isnt that good. At first listen I wasn't impressed by the sound and also the performance. But, listening to it a couple of times since, I've really got to enjoying it a lot. I find it extremely energetic, it reminds of early 70 Miles Davis, and its pure fun to listen at. But, it's true that Zorn is over using the Masada song book. But, hey, it's also the stuff I like the most from him. I still am curious when a Masada related cd is out. I'm not alone and I guess he knows it too. He probably capitalizes on this situation. It can give him the opportunity to release many Tzadik releases which may not be as popular. I'm only guessing on that one by the way.
