I bought an album in Berkley entitled EXTABAY. Beautiful stuff I thought. And another note, I heard from some folks that her real name was actually Amu Camus but that the record company just pitched her some Andean Forest Princess. Either way, some seriously delicious music.

Yeah, _Voice of the Xtabay_ - Scamp/Capitol reissued all those old Sumacs abt. 5 years ago, but looks like they're once again out-of-print now. What's the name of the "rock" album she did in the 70s - _Miracles_ or something like that? Anyway, what a fuckin' stinker that one is - if you see it, give it plenty of berth - ugh. Jon M.

is "Fuege Del Ande" one of a couple of Yma Sumac records, or is it THE record, the first and original and pre-music biz, as I seem to remember?
