the 3 CD box set THE BIRTH OF SOUL is the complete Atlantic recordings of the orginal band, and, although the idea of a box set might seem extravagant, is totally worth the $. I've had it for years and years, and I don't think a week goes by where I don't reach for at least one of the discs.
