Greetings list, I have taken on the duty of booking shows for Eyvind Kang to coincide with the release of his new album "Live Low to the Earth in the Iron Age" on Abduction records. I am contacting the Zorn list for information regarding contacts within the US, Europe and Japan. The plans are as follows- Would like to get a show set up for July 25th in the Berkeley or San Francisco area. Would like to get shows set up in Europe in September 2002. As of now the dates that are booked are Aug. 31st in Zurich, September 9th in Zurich and September 15th in Paris. So shows between those dates in Europe would be great. Japan is planned for Spring 2003. If anyone here has recommendations on good places to play, contacts of clubs, bookers etc. (or are one) please let me know. A public "thanks" to Steve Smith for alerting us to the public availability of the King Crimson Collectors Club CDs - I've recently taken delivery of the Zoom Club, Beat Club and Summit Studios CDs and am very pleased with them - especially the Zoom Club one, for all it's lack of hi-fi sound. Quite a different feel to the improvs captured on "The Great Deceiver". And on a related topic, a question for Steve or anyone else who can help me - I got Giles Giles and Fripp's "The Brondesbury Tapes" on vinyl a while back, thinking a CD release was unlikely. Now that it's come out on CD with EXTRA TRACKS I was wondering - are those extra tracks worth the investment? I enjoy GG&F, but I'd only be interested in buying the thing again if the extra tracks showed me something more about the band's evolution into King Crimson.
