ive usually been disappointed with ikue, live and on disc.
i also have seen her skill growing stronger over the last decade.
one problem i find is that her palette is extremely narrow, although
lately she's been able to produce both more variety and also
more interplay. i guess i've always found her to be mechanical,
with, of course, exceptions. i'm told she was originally a percussionist,
before she took up sampling.percussion. any recorded nonelectrics from her?
could someone recommend some of her recorded work and
"talk me through it," so i can understand what it is that you hear.
