I am keen to get as many rare tracks as possible, can anyone offer me some help etc?
PS, I have bled eDonkey dry!! Same here. And it's all 128kb k-rap! [with occasional minor variations in quality... still, barely worth the effort].
There are two options that seem viable to me. The most viable is for us to "swarm" a sign-up torrent site. I am currently leaning towards firefiles.org [FILES, not FLIES]. Ya gotta sign up, but it's pretty painless. Creating a torrent is pretty straightforward. I would simply bid, kindly and pleadingly, that when the laugh track starts we find ourselves sharing very high quality rips. FLACs or even SHNs woluld just be premium, but high-bitrate OGGs or MP3s would do as well. We will find that as long as we keep the torrents running, we may even attract new people to Yello, drive up interest in the forthcoming re-releases, and generally make lots of people's day! I think it is also very important to suggest that we only torrent RARE files. These b-sides and uncommon remixes of which we have spoken earlier.... The torrent waters are full of circling sharks these days, trying to put a screw down on us all. Take note of what just happened with lokitorrent.com http://www.torrent-news.com/ Ugly, ugly, ugly actions from both sides of the fence on this one. Edward Webber may just have become the biggest Benedict Arnold in recent history; may he suffer a thousand times what he has brought upon us all. --gcr _______________________________________________ Yello mailing list Yello@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/yello Report list abuse to list-abuse at studio-nibble.com

Have you looked at it lately? They got choked by The Enemy LONG ago. Months. Suprnova as we once knew it is but a memory - they sold out to The Man - developed this application [eXeem] that was funded by an un-named mystery financier, and now it turns out that it does two things: installs the infamous Cydoor spyware package [spies the SHIT out of you], and logs / keeps track of every single file you up or down. I am sure that FireFiles.org will work for the purposes of this list. We can share large FLACs without anyone having to nail down an FTP server or deal with webhosting. --gcr
