I can see all sorts of applications. Mixing, DJing, audience participation... The list goes on and on... :) That's what I was thinking as well. It reminds me of the old Capybara/Kyma black box/software combo made by Symbolic Sound which had as its only interface a piece of software. It made sound infinitely manipulable.
