Or better yet, you could simply answer my question. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernst_Gamper : "Graphic artist, notable for his album jacket and cd booklet designs for the Swiss electronic duo Yello, which almost always featured Herr Gamper's original painting. The cover of Yello's Baby album featured hand-painted original fabric designed by Gamper. Gamper designed the "corner cut" logo that Yello would use on 3 of their eighties releases, and adapted its usage to each release. As it had originally been place where a record distributor would mark a "cutout" release (and indicated both the diagonal cut and punch hole positions of such), it was likely a good humored suggestion of low expectations by the band."
Nothing earth-shattering, but there it is. Also noteworthy is: http://www.ernstgamper.ch/yello.html Stella was always my favourite [though only marginally, as all are great] - I felt that he really nailed it with the glowing eyes - so very nicely done. --gcr

Did you notice why the Stella eyes are "glowing"? If you look at the pictures in the insert, the painting is taped to a window in which the sun is shining through, thus illuminating parts of the picture that are not covered in paint. It makes me wonder if the painting was done on mylar - which is a plastic material with the approximate consistency/weight of card stock. An artist friend of mine did a painting on mylar for me which I hung in a window for the same affect. way cool. klort@hydrophilus.com wrote: Klonk Wed, 6 Dec 2006 15:14:42 -0500 veschprigt mroktar "Benjamin Pew" [re: Re: [Yello] RE: Yello Digest, Vol 45, Issue 1]:

I remember reading in an interview that around this time Yello was almost broke. Apparently they had recorded several tracks for an album (I think it was after "You Gotta Say Yes..." was released), but were dissatisfied with it and threw the whole lot out and started again. Can anyone confirm this? Good to hear that Ernst is still alive and well. Anyone know why he stopped doing Yello covers? It´s nice to see only a small selection of Yello artworks, Baby & Flag where definitively not among the best. Jack Fruh schrieb:
