Hi all, Ain't life great when you're broke, but with a machine crammed with goodies? Yes it is. Here's a first doodle of my personal Dada Interpretation. It turns out that even I can hold a tune when using a vocoder. http://www.art-ist.nl/EWA-music/EWA-does-Dada-doodle1.mp3 Rene
First of all: Rene, as your previous works I've heard...great!! I can't wait for the "full" version :) Now, I sat down today and recorded some guitar parts for Planet Dada. I had really no ideas what to play, but I added some distortion, some wah-effects and something more. This is a result of 5 minutes of work, so please, excuse any "bad playing" or misplaced notes ;-) - This is the backing "riff" with distortion. Not very dadaish, though.... www.suite904.com/yello/audio/backing-distortion.mp3 - This is the backing "riff" played with wah-effect. A bit more dadaish.... www.suite904.com/yello/audio/backing-wah.mp3 - This is the backing riff, just played and octave higher... www.suite904.com/yello/audio/backing-solo.mp3 - This is the melody played in the intro and throught-out the song, with wah-effect. www.suite904.com/yello/audio/intro-wah.mp3 - Here I'm improvising with the Planet Dada scale that you provided.... www.suite904.com/yello/audio/improvising-wah.mp3 - Anytime thought of Yello with a slight acoustic touch? ;-) www.suite904.com/yello/audio/dada-acoustic.mp3 They are all, like the original track, in the key of C. Now, Rene, I've done something with my guitar ;) Ofcourse I can add more effects etc, but I really need to know what kind of. Feedbacks are very welcome! Cheers Chris
Oh Yeah... Here we go! Cool Chris! You made me fetch my Western of it's stand. With all the new software I neglected my little analog friend ;-( Perhaps a second step in the Dada Remix Event is trying to combine things into one (or more) versions. Chris... jam along my little doodle and see what you can come up with! Rene ----- Original Message ----- From: C.C.R. To: The moon: beautiful. The sun: even more beautiful.
