Hello all I don't know if any of you in the UK recall this, but there was a 40-minute documentary about Yello shown on a UK TV music programme called 'Snub TV' back in 1988, just as the 'Flag' LP was coming out. It had interviews with Boris and Dieter plus footage of 'Snowball' and promo video clips. I've had it on VHS for 18 years but have now finally got a DVD recorder and hope to preserve it on DVD this week. Not sure if this is something every Yello fan on the list already has a copy of or whether it's new to most of you...if it's new to most of you maybe it should be released into the wild for Yello fans to enjoy? Andy, I would definitely agree that it should be made available, it is quite likely you are one of the few who has a copy, the TV company would have re-used the master tape long ago, and forgotten its significance. I'm in the UK and it is new to me. I recall the increased UK media interest, as I'm currently going through my archives, if I find anything similar I will make it available. I recently discovered some binarural recordings, and a large number of radio documentaries, and shows (radio tip top), not Yello relevant, but surely with some interest to some, with original recordings either lost, or no hope of ever being officially released. This is great news! I can hardly wait for a chance to view this, regardless of what condition it is in! However: let's just pre-warn you, if you haven't heard the warnings before: It will not matter what you choose to transfer this from VHS to DVD, there is one person that will forget the fact that the tape was made in 1988 (and probably has some inherent flaws, or some will be introduced during the transfer process) and bitch bitch bitch about the lack of quality and professionalism of the transferred media, or what format was chosen to present the media in its newly digitized form. Laurens, why you now start barking as well? /Oliver Abolish useless signatures; it's past its usefulness, and I'm tired. Laurens van Graft wrote:

Set that puppy free! That'd be great! I. for one, would happily compensate you for the duplication and shipment of a copy of said DVD. Let us know! Thanks! --gcr
I have a large upload pipe now. I'd be happy to help seed. On Monday, January 30, 2006, at 12:33PM, Howard Roark <jabberwoc@ntlworld.com> wrote:

Well, I would be happy to share this on my FTP server if the file size was not too big. If it was going to be a divx/MPG, then a 700MB/1.4GB would be the maximum size I would consider. My upload speed ain't fantastic, but I could share with three users at any one time and it would take a day or so to download the film. Also, I'm based in the UK. If that helps the group, I'm prepared to give it a go.
... and that gets it to me, and I would happily make and seed a torrent. The last time I seeded a yello torrent, I received many messages in the tracker's forum asking for more. The point being, that people outside this list are also interested in this material, hence the liklihood of such a torrent becoming a statically seeded file is good. So, no need to punish your FTP server. We can just create a torrent and release it into the wild where it can live free and eat shoots and leaves, and so on. --gcr

Some of us are still on dial-up, so it would be good if a smaller-sized file was made available as well. Mark P. ----------------------<http://users.tpg.com.au/mrpulley/
