I do not want to be rude or offending, but at this point I really have to ask you Jon, why you are spreading this pathetic nonsense in this forum. Not only me, but also many others and therefore Wikipedia as well define the word "gift" in a different way. Under http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gift you will find: "A *gift* or a *present* is the transfer of something, without the need for compensation that is involved in trade <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trade>. A gift is a voluntary act which does not require anything in return. Even though it involves possibly a social expectation of reciprocity, or a return in the form of prestige or power, a gift is meant to be free." You are mixing this up with "trade", which according to Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trade) is described as follows: *"Trade* is the voluntary exchange of goods <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_%28economics%29>, services <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Service_%28economics%29>, or both. Trade is also called commerce <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commerce> or transaction <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transaction>." The good thing about it is, that it is _voluntary_! So everybody who has understood that this business is just for the commerce has the freedom to deny. best, Zac Jon Kamm schrieb:
Glenn,
You are making this way to complicated. All we know is Yello is not releasing Blu-ray at this time. Kevin Blanc guessed it was because it's cheaper to produce just the standard version. He is absolutely correct. It is. This may or may not be the reason they have chosen not to release Blu-ray. They could have many reasons. Maybe they will release a Blu-ray version tomorrow. Maybe they will never release a Blu-ray version. Who knows?
You have no reason to complain about anything Yello decides to offer us. These are gifts they make available to us. We show our appreciation by paying them for their talents. To bash or badmouth their business practices is like telling your Gramma her gift sucks. It's just rude, disrespectful and very unprofessional.
